LEWISTON — Easton E. Morang, of Winthrop, was named to the winter 2012-13 semester dean’s list at Bates College.
Morang, music major, is a 2010 graduate of Winthrop High School. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Keith E. Morang of Winthrop.
Hubert receives
bachelor’s degree
SAN DIEGO, Calif. — Benjamin Harman Hubert has graduated from San Diego State University with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
A 1999 graduate of Gardiner Area High School, Hubert completed his studies after receiving an associate’s degree from Central Maine Community College and serving seven years in the Navy.
After completing internships with General Dynamics and Continental Controls Corporation in San Diego, Hubert is employed by Continental Controls. He lives in San Diego.
Hubert is the son of Bill and Jane Hubert, of Pittston, Maine.
Area students
named to dean’s list
NEWTON, Mass — Two local students, Maryah Duplissie of Monmouth, Maine, and Emily Carr of Augusta, Maine, have been named to the spring 2013 semester dean’s list at Lasell College.
Duplissie is a member of the class of 2013 majoring in fashion and retail merchandising. Carr is a member of the class of 2014 majoring in graphic design.
Union College names
honor students
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — Three local students have received dean’s list honors from Union College for the 2012-13 academic year.
They are Joshua Anderson of Washington, class of 2013, who was homeschooled; Jared Diou-Cass of Manchester, class of 2016, a graduate of Maranacook Community School; and Caelan Lapointe of Hallowell, class of 2015, a graduate of Hall-dale High School.
