WINSLOW — A second referendum vote for the school budget passed 44-2 Tuesday, after cost-neutral changes had to be made to the previously approved budget.
Winslow voters had already approved the $13.4 million school budget on June 11, but it didn’t include teacher retirement costs.
The additional $197,812 for retirement costs was added after the state budget was approved on June 24.
The additional expense was covered by more general aid received and savings from buying heating oil at a lower-than-expected price.
The Winslow Town Council also approved the revised budget.
