The Healthy Community Coalition of Greater Franklin County has planned Mobile Health Unit outreach events. Staff will offer services such as blood pressure and cholesterol checks, body composition analysis, information on cancer prevention, nutrition, physical activity and tobacco, one-on-one health counseling, and information and assistance on the Maine Breast and Cervical Health Program and other health assistance programs.

The Mobile Health Unit will offer health screenings from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday at the Blueberry Festival, in Wilton.

The following services will be provided from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Tuesday, at Tranten’s, in Farmington; Friday, Aug. 9, at IGA, in Rangeley; Tuesday, Aug. 13, at Tranten’s, in Kingfield; Friday, Aug. 16, at Edmunds Market, in Phillips; Tuesday, Aug. 20, at Tranten’s, in Farmington; Friday, Aug. 23, at the Town Office, in Eustis; and Tuesday, Aug. 27, at Tranten’s, in Kingfield.

All services offered are free. The event is funded by Avon Foundation, Healthy Maine Partnership, Helen & George Ladd Foundation, Maine Community Foundation, United Way of the Tri-Valley Area, and US CDC Community Transformation Grant.
