KITTERY POINT — Revolutionary War re-enactors are on hand for an encampment at Fort McClary near Maine’s southernmost tip.
Colonial crafting and other early American life skills are being showcased at the event, which includes a theatrical presentation of life in the later part of the 18th century.
Re-enactors will bring with them period tents, camp kitchens and open-pit cooking at the fort at Kittery Point.
The Friends of Fort McClary is sponsoring the event. Donations support the presentation of the events, as well as efforts to ensure the site’s historical buildings and artifacts are preserved.
