WATERVILLE — The following groups are held at the Hospice Community Center, 304 Main St., with the exception of the Monday evening Belgrade group. All the groups are free to the public. To preregister, call Wanda Curtis at 873-3615.

A widows’ support group will be held 5:30-7 p.m. the first and third Monday of each month. The group is for women who have lost their husband either recently or a number of years ago. Meetings begin Monday, Sept. 16, and will be ongoing.

A widows’ support group will be held 6-8 p.m., at the Belgrade Community Center the first and third Monday of each month. The group for women who have lost their husband either recently or a number of years ago. The group will meet for eight weeks.

A men’s grief support group will meet 6-8 p.m., the third Monday of each month. The group is for men who have lost a spouse, sibling, parent, loved one or friend. A time of education and sharing is provided.

A sibling loss support group will be held 6-8 p.m. Tuesdays, starting Sept. 10. The group, for adults, will meet for six weeks.

A grief through the holidays support group will be held 5:30-7 p.m., Tuesday, beginning Nov. 5. This is a general loss support group for anyone who has experienced the loss of a loved one or friend. There will be a discussion on the grieving process and how to cope during the holidays. The group will meet for nine weeks through Jan. 14.

A parents’ support group is set for 6-8 p.m. Wednesdays beginning Oct. 30. The group is for parents who have lost a child of any age recently or a number of years ago. A time of education and sharing is provided. The group will meet for 10 weeks. There will be no group when the holiday falls on a Wednesday. The last meeting will be held in January.

A widows’ and widowers’ grief support group is set for 10-11:30 a.m. the second and fourth Thursday each month. The group is for those who are newly widowed or have been widowed for a number of years. A time of education and sharing is provided. The group is ongoing.
