WINSLOW — A discussion, “The Affordable Care Act 101, Understanding the New Health Care Law,” is planned for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, at Winslow Public Library.

The Affordable Care Act will bring major changes to the health care system in the coming months. By the end of the year, there will be new requirements and new options for affordable health coverage for many Mainers and many new rights, protections and changes to current government health care programs.

Speaker Jacob Grindle, health services navigator of Western Maine Community Action, will walk community members through the basics of the law and the new resources every Mainer should know about. Explore what the coming changes will mean for individuals, families and organizations.
