GARDINER — Sara Beckwith scored two second-half goals to erase a one-goal deficit and help the Maranacook girls soccer team beat Gardiner 2-1 on Monday afternoon.

Lauren Chadwick scored an unassisted goal off a through ball with 25 minutes left in the first half to give Gardiner (0-2-0) a 1-0 lead.

However, Beckwith scored twice in the opening 20 minutes of the second half to give Maranacook (1-0-1) the lead for good. Lily McLaughlin assisted on the first goal, which came off a corner.

Maddie Cutler had 12 saves for the Tigers while Elizabeth D’Angelo had five for the Bears.

Monmouth 4, Lisbon 0: Kylie Kemp scored three goals, including two in the first seven minutes of the game, to lift the Mustangs to the Mountain Valley Conference win in Monmouth.

Kemp has five goals in two games for Monmouth (2-0-0). Haley Fletcher also scored for the Mustangs while Madi Bumann added an assist.

Mikayla Cameron had five saves to earn the victory. Ally Sult had seven saves for Lisbon (0-2-0).

Richmond 6, Greenville 0: Amber Loon had two goals and two assists to lead the Bobcats to the Western D victory in Richmond.

Meranda Martin also scored two goals and added an assist. Kelsea Anair scored a goal and an assist for Richmond (3-0-0).

Molly Foley had nine saves for the Lakers (1-1-0).

Bangor 6, Messalonskee 0: Allison Boulier had two goals and two assists to lead the Rams to the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A win in Oakland. Anna-Maria Dagher added a goal and an assist for Bangor (1-1-0).

Taylor Easler stopped 13 shots for Messalonskee (0-2-0).

Boys soccer

Bangor 3, Messalonskee 2: Nate Bach’s goal with a minute left in the first overtime gave the Rams the win in a KVAC A game in Bangor.

Messalonskee trailed 2-0 after early goals from Bach and Eli Clein, but battled back on two goals from Quinn Warren, one in the first half and one in the second, assisted by Brandon Nale, with 6 minutes elft in regulation.

Stanley Clarke made six saves for Bangor (1-0-0) while Jonah Webb made two for Messaloskee (0-2-0) before he was replaced by Jake Smith who made 10.

Hall-Dale 6, Boothbay 1: Nicole Pelletier and Shanay Gilbert each scored two goals to lead the Bulldogs to the MVC win in Farmingdale.

Gretta Thiele and Liz Benner also scored for Hall-Dale (2-0-0) while Gilbert added a pair of assists.
Molly French had four saves for Hall-Dale.

Nicole Labrick scored the lone goal for Boothbay (0-2-0).

Winthrop 2, Dirigo 1, OT: Rachel Ingram scored on a pass from Michaela Hajduk on a corner five minutes into overtime as the Ramblers beat the Cougars in an MVC game in Winthrop.
Kelsey Stoneton scored an unassisted goal in the first half to give Winthrop (2-0-0) a 1-0 lead. Brittany LaPointe scored late in the first half on a corner to tie the game for Dirigo (0-2-0).

Alyssa Arsenault had 10 saves for Winthrop, while Amanda Dollof had 10 for Dirigo.

Men’s soccer

UM-Farmington 1, UM-Presque Isle 0, OT: Sophomore Ibrahim Achekh deflected a Matt Potter throw-in past keeper Caleb Bragg-Grady early in the first overtime to give the Beavers an opening-season win in Farmington.

The Beavers (1-0-0) earned a throw-in to the left of Bragg-Grady barely 30 seconds into OT and Potter tossed the ball toward the corner of the 18-yard box. Achekh redirected the ball past a slow-developing defense for the win. Derek Reilly finished with four saves.

Bragg-Grady, an Erskine graduate, also finished with four saves. The Owls held a 13-11 shot advantage.
