SALEM — Mt. Abram scored four straight goals, including three in the second half, and Tristen Dyer stopped a penalty shot as the Mustangs beat Wiscasset 4-1 in a Mountain Valley Conference boys soccer game Tuesday.

JD Souza scored in the first half to give Wiscasset (0-1-1) a 1-0 lead. Bryson Walker scored to tie it with 11:50 left in the first half with an assist from Colin McCarthy-Edwards for Mt. Abram (1-1-0).

Calum Dixon scored two straight goals in the second half to give Mt. Abram the lead. Gerardo Rio added an insurance goal. Walker also had an assist.

Dyer stopped 15 shots, including a penalty shot when the score was tied at 1.

Dylan McMahon stopped eight shots for Wiscasset (0-1-1).

Hall-Dale 2, Carrabec 0: The Bulldogs scored two second half goals on their way to an MVC win in North Anson.

Josh Peterson scored three minutes into the second half with an assist from Brandyn Bechard for Hall-Dale (2-0-0). Nat Crocker scored 12 minutes later from Ryan Sinclair. Brian Allen stopped 11 shots for Hall-Dale.

Trent Richardson had 14 saves for Carrabec (0-1-1).

Edward Little 4, Lawrence 0: Seth Sterling and Michael Hammond each had a goal and an assist to lead the Red Eddies to the Eastern A game in Auburn.

Jared Plourde and Brandon Binette also scored for Edward Little (2-0-0) while Luke Sterling added an assist. 

Llewellyn Jenson had four saves to earn the shutout while Zach Alley had six saves to pace the Bulldogs (1-1-0).

Winslow 5, Mt. View 0: Five different players scored as the Black Raiders beat the Mustangs in a KVAC B game in Winslow.

David Grant, Taylor Roy, Connor Wildes, Ben Smith and Evan Clark all scored goals for Winslow (2-0-0). Clark had two assists as well and Matthew Vashon had one. Alex Berard made nine saves for the Black Raiders.

Mikey Hustus had 17 saves for Mt. View (1-1-0).

Waterville 8, Belfast 2: Danilo Guthro had three goals and an assist, while Michael Olivera had two goals and an assist as the Panthers beat the Lions in a KVAC B game in Belfast.

Kaleb Kane added a goal and an assist for Waterville (2-0-0). Sam Maresh and Dalton Henderson also scored for the Panthers, while Cam Gardiner, Justin Wentworth and John Violette each had an assist. Liam Edward had 12 saves to earn the win.

Chris Williams scored twice and Sam Kulikowski had 12 saves for Belfast (0-1-1).

Mt. Blue 7, Skowhegan 0: Drew Parson had two goals as the Cougars beat the Indians in a KVAC A game in Skowhegan.

Omer Havtan, Gage Kennedy, Chris Titus, Ike Doiron and LIam Welch also scored for Mt. Blue (2-0-0), while Evan Backus added an assist. Colton Lawrence made five saves for the Cougars.

Anthony Paul had nine saves for Skowhegan (0-2-0).

Buckfield 4, Valley 1: Jon Randolph scored two goals in the second half to secure a win for the Bucks over the Cavaliers in Bingham.

Jacob Kafke and Brian Casey also scored goals for Buckfield (1-1).

Valley’s lone goal came from Devon Gillespie, with an assist by Andrew Martin.

Cody Beane made 20 saves for the Cavaliers (0-2).

Girls soccer

Winslow 4, Mt. View 1: Calli Lavarnway scored two goals to lift the Black Raiders past Mt. View in Thorndike.

Autumn Poulin and Mackenzie Carlow also scored goals for Winslow (1-1-0). Hillary Libby had three saves.

Alexis Strain had a goal and Tori Strain stopped six shots for Mt. View (0-1-0).

Buckfield 5, Valley 0: Abby Campbell had two goals as the Bucks beat the Cavaliers in Bingham.
Bri Damon, McKayla Darling and Naudia Wesley also scored for Buckfield (2-0-0). Arrabine Dunn stopped three shots for the Bucks.

Samantha West had 14 saves for Valley (0-2-0).

Nokomis 4, MCI 0: Taylor Quick scored twice as the Warriors beat the Huskies in a KVAC B game in Newport.

Kylie Richards and Seirra Fortin also scored for Nokomis (1-1-0). Becky Orcutt had five saves.

Ashley Alton had 16 saves for MCI (1-1-0).

Waterville 10, Belfast 1: Lydia Roy had four goals and an assist as the Panthers cruised to a KVAC B win in Belfast.

Pilar Elias added three goals and an assist, while Sarah Shoulta had two goals and an assist for Waterville (2-0-0). Brooke Ettinger added a goal, while Jenn Christensen and Colleen O’Donnell each had an assist for the Panthers. Fontini Shanos had one save.

Faith Beaulieu had 19 saves and Mariah Sturgis had a goal for Belfast (0-2-0).

Mt. Blue 6, Skowhegan 0:
Eryn Doiron had two goals and an assist as the Cougars beat the Indians in a KVAC A game in Farmington.

Kiana Thompson and Hope Thompson each added a goal and an assist, and Lauren Guppy had a goal for Mt. Blue (1-1-0). Thia Bridges had nine saves and Addie Schanz one for the Cougars.

Shawna Quimby had 18 saves for Skowhegan (0-2-0).

Edward Little 5, Lawrence 0: Five different players scored to lead the Red Eddies to the victory in Fairfield.

Emily Jacques, Kalli Murray, Kori Norcross, Taylor Landry and Makayla Norcross all scored for EL (1-1-0), which led 3-0 at the half.

Emily Schano had six saves to earn the shutout while Paige Belanger had 12 for the Bulldogs (1-1-0).

Field hockey

Winslow 5, Camden Hills 0: Five different players scored as the Raiders beat the Windjammers in a KVAC B game in Rockport.

Brittany White, Ciera Poulin, Jess Greely, Mackenzie Winslow and Brooke Haskell all scored for Winslow (3-0-0). Poulin, Winslow and Bethany Winkin each had an assist.

Delaney Wood had three saves for Winslow, while Dessie Dodd had 10 saves for Camden Hills (0-3-0).

Lawrence 2, Cony 0: Lauren Watson scored a goal in each half and Emily Tozier stopped the only shot she faced to lead the Bulldogs to the Eastern A victory in Augusta.

Alexis Chamberlain and McKenna Rogers each had assists for Lawrence (2-1).

Lindsay Lapierre had 12 saves to pace Cony (2-1).

Waterville 0, Erskine 0, 2 OT: The Eagles and visiting Purple Panthers battled to a draw in South China.

Waterville’s Rachael Bergeron made 12 saves, including one that deflected off her pads and out of bounds in the first overtime. Alexis Soucy had eight saves for Erskine. Waterville coach Amie Dubois said both overtimes were filled with up-and-down action.

“Both teams were exhausted,” Dubois said.

Mt. Blue 3, Mt. Ararat 2, OT:
Leah St. Laurent scored with 1:50 left in the first overtime as the Cougars edged the Eagles in Topsham.

St. Laurent scored when she knocked in a reverse-stick shot off a cross pass from Mikayla Oswald.

Krista McClatchy and Hannah LeClair also had goals for Mt. Blue (2-1). Each of the first two goals were assisted by Victoria Newbill.

Mt. Blue goalie Rileigh Blanchet saved the game when she made a tough save with her arm in the overtime period.

Mt. Ararat is 0-3.
