SALEM, N.H. — Police in Salem, N.H., say a driver accused of shooting a gun at a jogger has been charged with reckless conduct.

Fifty-six-year-old Robert Storie of Windham turned himself in Wednesday, six days after what police have called a road-rage incident.

According to authorities, Storie approached an intersection at a high rate of speed, stopped abruptly and then pulled forward and almost hit a jogger. An argument ensued, and Storie is accused of firing his gun after the jogger spit on his car. The jogger denies spitting, however.

Police say Storie has been cooperative with the investigation. He was released on $10,000 personal recognizance bail. A phone number listed for him was out of service Thursday.
