AUGUSTA — A head-on crash caused Eastern Avenue to be closed both ways around noon today near the Mayfair neighborhood.
Augusta police Lt. J. Chris Read said rescue was dispatched, but he didn’t know whether anyone needed to be taken for medical treatment. He said the road was closed to clean up an apparent molasses spill.
