FARMINGTON — The women of Wilson Lake Country Club hosted their annual Martha Webber Breast Cancer Fundraiser Tournament on Sept. 13 that raised $1,522 for the Martha B. Webber Breast Care Center, a program of Franklin Memorial Hospital. The tournament is held each year on the second Saturday of September at Wilson Lake Country Club.

Twenty-eight players took part in the event that also featured a raffle for 15 donated items. The team of Bambi Stevens, Rachel Newman, Sherill Rawlings and Gail Kennedy took first place gross with a score of 99; while the team of Karen Bor, Sue St. Pierre, Sue Reichert and Deb Finley, took first place net with a score of 41. Members of the winning gross team received day ski passes to Sugarloaf, while the winning net team received day ski passes to Sunday River. The ski passes were donated by Peter Webber and Jeff Rosenberg, respectively.

The Martha B. Webber Breast Care Center provides timely access to state-of-the-art breast cancer screening, diagnostic, clinical, and care support services. The center, with locations in Farmington and Livermore Falls, memorializes the Carrabassett Valley resident who died from breast cancer.
