WINTHROP — Two people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries after a woman’s car rear-ended another on U.S. Route 202 on Thursday evening, police said.
Just after 6 p.m., Officer John Hall of the Winthrop Police Department said Joseph Emery, 47, of Winthrop, was likely turning near South Road when his car got hit from behind by an eastbound car driven by Jillian Chapeon, 23, of Dover-Foxcroft.
Hall said both vehicles were totaled and both drivers were taken to the hospital after complaining of neck pain.
