A Phillips woman was summoned after her neighbors told the Franklin County Sherriff’s Department that the woman’s two dogs killed two cats.

Jennifer Boyd, of Reeds Mill Road, is facing a possible fine for the civil infraction of having a dog at large.
Franklin County Deputy Cole Sleaster said the cats’ owner reported that the two dogs had killed them.

Sleaster said he saw the two cats, and other neighbors identified the dogs as Boyd’s.

He returned the dogs to Boyd’s property and the next day issued her a summons.
