TOPSHAM — Erin Tome scored a minute and 20 seconds into overtime to lift the No. 2 Mt. Ararat girls soccer team to a 1-0 win over No. 7 Cony in an Eastern A quarterfinal game Tuesday evening.

Autumn Sudsbury had 23 saves on 33 shots to lead the Rams (7-7-1).

Kate Guerin recorded her eighth shutout of the season for the Eagles (13-2-0).

 

No. 1 St. Dominic 1, No. 9 Monmouth 0: Faith Grady scored an unassisted goal with 26 minutes left in the first half and No. 2 St. Dom’s held on for the Western C quarterfinal victory.

“She took the ball down the middle, beat three defenders and took a shot just outside the 18-yard line,” Monmouth coach Gary Trafton said. “ It was a pretty even game.”

The Mustangs finished 8-6-1 while the Saints improved to 13-1-1.

Mikayla Cameron had nine saves for Monmouth while her counterpart, Saints keeper Kelly Pomerleau, also had nine saves.
