AUBURN — Police are investigating after someone fired shots at an Auburn home, breaking windows and leaving holes in the outer wall.

The 2½-story apartment house on Newbury Street was struck by gunfire at about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.

There were no reports of injuries.

Police issued a description of a vehicle seen leaving the scene soon after the shots.

Neighbors tell the Sun Journal that a woman in her 20s lives in the lower floor of the building, but it was not clear who was home at the time.
