AUGUSTA — A local financial marketing adviser is hosting a launch event for his motivational book at the Augusta Civic Center Saturday afternoon.

Jac Arbour, vice president of Combined Benefits United, a Hallowell-based financial marketing company, said he authored his first book, “May You Drink From The Saucer,” after speaking with hundreds of people who have found success in various aspects of their lives.

The event will be held from 1-5 p.m. in the Capitol Pine Tree Room of the Augusta Civic Center and include an introduction by Don Hutson, co-author of the New York Times bestsellers “The One Minute Entrepreneur” and “The One Minute Negotiator,” who wrote the forward to Arbour’s book. A book signing will be held after Arbour speaks at 2:15 p.m.

Arbour, 29, of Augusta, attended Cony High School, and he graduated from Bowdoin College in 2007.

He said one of the things he has learned and shares in the book is that offering people help will bring more positivity and rewards to your own life.

“It needs to be without strings attached. It needs to genuine,” Arbour said of the help.

He added, “I want people to read this book, and I want to have them at the end and through the course of it be more inspired and to live more fully and realize how much of a gift life truly is.”

Arbour encouraged people to RSVP at events@jacarbour.com.
