I’m writing in response to the From the State House column, “We need greater scrutiny of back door spending, corporate tax breaks,” by Rep. Adam Goode of Bangor, which appeared on the Nov. 9 opinion page.

As chairman of the Tax Expenditure Tax Force and Taxation Committee, Goode must have some plausible theory about the ineffectiveness of some of the current tax breaks.

His sharing some of those breaks he believes to be unproductive would have made his message more convincing.
