Those who are concerned — or suspicious — about the so-called “sensitive” issue of building a new mosque in Augusta should watch the Canadian series, “Little Mosque on the Prairie” on Pivot, a new and highly forward-thinking TV station.

Not only is there a mosque in the little town of Mercy, but it’s situated in the rented parish hall of the town’s Anglican church. Muslims and Christians alike learn a lot about tolerance as they get to know, understand, appreciate and, yes, even like one another. What a good example our neighbors up north are setting by creating such an instructive form of entertainment. We could all learn something.
