READFIELD — A town man who didn’t return from hunting Thursday night was found uninjured by game wardens Friday morning after a search.

George Turner, 45, of Fogg Road, was found by wardens a half-mile from his home at about 7:45 a.m. Friday, said Cpl. John MacDonald, spokesman for the Maine Warden Service. He said wardens were notified around 1:30 a.m. after Turner’s family and friends searched for him overnight. Turner had no injuries, MacDonald said.

Dogs and an aircraft assisted in the search, and wardens were aided by employees of Augusta-based Cives Welding, Turner’s employer, MacDonald said.
