SKOWHEGAN — A holiday pop-up store opens downtown this weekend at the Somerset Grist Mill, 42 Court St.

Hand knits, hand-crafted wooden items, fabric creations and bead work will be sold through Saturday, Nov. 30, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday.

A second tenant at the pop-up, Iver Lofving, of Skowhegan, will open with a studio of local antiques and memorabilia for sale and on display, along with gifts and crafts for two weeks beginning Dec. 1. Store hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

The hand crafters return to the pop-up the week of Dec. 16.

A pop-up store is a marketing concept in which a retailer can try out a product or a service for a day, a week or a month.
