I don’t read the paper much anymore since moving to Vassalboro. But on Nov. 15, I happened across a Nov. 11 newspaper and I read the three letters about veterans under the Readers View on page A7.
The kind words touched me so much, that I had to respond.
As a veteran, this really made my day. The kindness and thoughtfulness was appreciated. Most of all, I would like to say a big thank you to all the restaurants for their generosity of giving veterans a free meal. As I left the restaurant, my waitress said thank you and have a nice day.
Well, thank you. And God bless.
