WATERVILLE —Emilee Marro scored a game-high 29 points and also had nine rebounds, six steals and five assists as the Regis College women’s basketball team beat Colby 75-62 in a non-conference game Tuesday.

Regis (1-2) shot 51 percent from the floor to earn the win. Coby falls to 3-3.

Marro was 9 for 16 from the field and 4 for 9 from 3-point range. Amanda Hawkesworth added 14 points and 10 rebounds for Regis, while Janaya Bradley had 17 points and Claire Ramonas 12 points, three assists and two blocks.

Desi Smith had 15 points, six rebounds and two assists for Colby. Cony graduate Mia Diplock had 14 points, five rebounds and four assists, while Hall-Dale graduate Carylanne Wolfington had 14 points.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

SMCC 89, UM-AUGUSTA 60: The Seawolves went on an 18-7 run to start the second half and went on to the Yankee Small College Conference victory in Augusta.

UMA ended the first half with an 11-1 run to close to within 45-36 at the break, becfore SMCC (6-2 overall, 4-0 YSCC) took over. Nyalieb Deng had 14 points and 14 rebounds for SMCC

Monmouth grad Jennifer Lola led UMA with a game-high 24 points. Rihmond grad Jamie Plummer played all 40 minutes, and had 19 points, 16 rebounds, five assists, and five steals. Arreonte Lee had nine rebounds, seven assists, and six steals for the Moose (4-4, 2-3).
