PITTSFIELD — Jared Leadbetter from the Maine State Library will present a class on how to choose and use an e-Reader, featuring the Kindle Paperwhite and the Nook Simple Touch. Participants can also learn how to get free books from the Maine Infonet Download Library. Bring questions and any e-reader you already own from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Pittsfield Public Library.

The library will also have a “technology petting zoo” of e-readers and tablets participants can try out at the library Dec. 3-9. Devices available will be e-readers Nook SimpleTouch and Kindle PaperWhite and tablets Kindle Fire, Apple iPad Mini, Nook HD+, and Google Nexus.
