AUGUSTA — The Governor’s Energy Office say the average price for home heating oil has risen another 3 cents in Maine.

Officials said Tuesday that the weekly survey puts the average price for No. 2 heating oil at $3.64 per gallon. Prices for kerosene and propane also grew 8 cents per gallon.

Heating oil prices varied substantially, with a low of $3.45 recorded in southern Maine and a high of $3.95 in central Maine.

Officials say the average oil, propane and kerosene prices are higher than at any time last year, but still much lower than prices during the 2011-2012 heating season.
