Not just because Dec. 7 was Pearl Harbor Day, but every day we should respect and honor those that Tom Brokaw called the “Greatest Generation.”

As Gov. Jim Longley once said “Think about it.” The young survivors of the bombing of Pearl Harbor are about 90 years old now. These fabulous people of that era deserve our utmost understanding of what they have been through, and we must never forget to give them the one thing we all have, our time to share with them.

Tomorrow is promised to no one. God bless the men and women who have the values and wisdom that I can only try to emulate.
