OAKLAND — Emily Quirion had 27 points as the Cony girls basketball team beat Messalonskee 43-38 Saturday to earn their third Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A win, in Oakland.

The Rams, who improve to 3-2, outscored the Eagles 12-7 in the fourth quarter to seal the win.

Sophie Holmes had nine points and 12 rebounds, while Mikayla Turner had 13 points for Messalonskee (3-2).

WISCASSET 49, WINTHROP 24: Briana Goud had 21 points as the Wolverines beat the Ramblers in an MVC game Friday.

Danielle Kotow had eight points for Winthrop.
