WATERVILLE — Day’s Jewelers recently announced that Maine College of Art graduate Hannah Sherwood has been selected as the visual coordinator for the independent six store New England operation based in Waterville. Before coming to Day’s, Sherwood made a name for herself globally with a photography and design company she founded with her sister, by working with wedding and engagement clients locally, nationally, and as far away as Australia.

Sherwood will be responsible for all visual communications at Day’s Jewelers including print advertising, billboards, website graphics at daysjewelers.com and social media visuals. She will also create wall graphics, display signs and window displays for the stores.

After earning an associate’s degree in communications and New Media from Southern Maine Community College, Sherwood pursued and earned a bachelor’s degree of fine art in graphic design at Maine College of Art. Upon graduation in 2013, Sherwood had job prospects all along the Eastern seaboard from Philadelphia to Waterville, Maine. Ultimately she accepted the job with Day’s in Waterville over a position in Boston with an online boutique company.
