No new information was available Saturday about four people taken to the hospital following a Wilton motor vehicle accident that left a Lewiston woman dead.

A Franklin Memorial Hospital nursing supervisor said the three people taken to the hospital were no longer there, but due to the wishes of the patients and family would not release if they had been transferred or released.

A nursing supervisor at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston couldn’t “confirm or deny” any information regarding a fourth person involved in the accident who was brought to the hospital by LifeFlight helicopter.

Wilton police are investigating what caused the Route 2 accident near the First Apostolic Church of Maine that totaled both vehicles involved.

The woman who died in the accident, Claudette Hutchins, 61, was driving with passengers Claire Bergeron, 63, also of Lewiston, and a 16-year-old girl. The other vehicle was driven by Richard Harvey, 79, with passenger with Angela Harvey, 80, of Farmington.
