FAIRFIELD — Cole Robinson’s 3-pointer with 1.1 seconds left gave Lawrence a 55-54 win over Bangor in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference play Saturday afternoon.

Robinson finished with seven points. Taylor Slaney had 15 points for Lawrence (4-4), while Brad King added 10.

Alex Campbell and Connor Adams each scored 16 points for Bangor (5-3), while Xavier Lewis, who played for Lawrence last season, scored 15 for the Rams.

MESSALONSKEE 53, LEWISTON 40: Nick Mayo scored 12 points and had 18 rebounds to lead the Eagles to a win over the Blue Devils in Oakland.

Jordon Holmes scored a game-high 14 points and had four steals, while Jordan Carson added 11 points and 11 rebounds for Messalonskee (6-2).

Quintarian Brown led Lewiston (3-4) with 11 points.

BOOTHBAY 76, MT. ABRAM 34: Arthur Ryan scored 11 points for the Roadrunners in a loss to the Seahawks in Salem.

Tristen Dyer scored seven points, while Luke Romanoski added six points for Mt. Abram (1-6).

John Hepburn led Boothbay (5-1) with 16 points.

CONY 52, MT. BLUE 41: Tyler Tardiff hit a key 3-pointer with a little more than a minute remaining in the fourth quarter and the Rams held off Mt. Blue in a KVAC A game that was delayed about half an hour because of a fire alarm.

Tardiff finished with six points for Cony (3-5).

Ben Lucas scored a team-high 14 points while Liam Stokes added nine for the Rams, who trailed 28-26 at the half and 36-35 heading into the fourth quarter.

Zack Mittelstadt scored 15 points to pace the Cougars (2-5).

MT. ARARAT 50, SKOWHEGAN 30: The Eagles outscored Skowhegan 14-0 in the first quarter and went on to the KVAC A win in Topsham.

Mason Griffin led Mt. Ararat (4-4) with 24 points. Shyheim Ulrickson added 11.

Isaac Witham (12 points) and Eli Holland (eight) were the top scorers for Skowhegan. The Indians are 0-6.

WATERVILLE 51, BELFAST 25: Chris Hale scored 15 points to lead the visiting Purple Panthers to the KVAC B win.

Justin Jabar added 10 points and six rebounds for Waterville (4-3) while Owen Brown added eight points and five rebounds.

Belfast (0-5) was led by Xavier Roman with 12 points.

Winthrop 70, Carrabec 31: The Ramblers led 39-14 at halftime and went on to the MVC victory in Winthrop.

Jacob Hickey scored 17 points and Dakota Carter added 16 for the Ramblers (6-2). In all, 11 different players scored for Winthrop.

Carrabec (1-6) also had 11 different players score. Two players tied for the team lead with four points.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Messalonskee 55, Lewiston 35: Sophie Holmes scored 16 points and made four 3-pointers to lead the Eagles over the Blue Devils, in KVAC A play in Lewiston.

Mikayla Turner scored 11 points and grabbed six rebounds for Messalonskee (6-2). Kelsey Mayo had eight points and 10 rebounds for the Eagles.

Kristina Blais led Lewiston (2-5) with eight points.

Monmouth 49, Mt. Abram 16: Kylie Kemp had 14 points and 16 rebounds to lead the host Mustangs to the MVC win.

Jenna Davies added 11 points and 10 rebounds for Monmouth (5-2) while Sidney Wilson added nine points.

Mt. Abram (1-5) was led by Alex Harnden with six points.

MT. BLUE 57, CONY 29: Miranda Nicely scored a game-high 24 points and Caitlin Kane added 10 to lead the Cougars to the KVAC A victory. Addie Brinkman and Eryn Doiron each scored seven points for Mt. Blue (4-4) as well.

Emily Quirion scored a team-high 15 points and Hayley Quirion added nine to pace the Rams (5-3).

OAK HILL 54, MADISON 47: The Raiders took control in the third quarter, outscoring the Bulldogs 20-9 to capture the MVC win in Wales.

Sadie Goulet led a balanced oak Hill offense with 12 points. Meagan Crosby added 11, and Danielle Samson and Bri Mulherin scored nine apiece. Mulherin also grabbed 10 rebounds. In the third quarter, Crosby and Mulherin each scored six points for Oak Hill (5-3).

Kayla Bess scored 12 points and Kirsten Wood chipped in with nine for Madison (5-2).

SKOWHEGAN 65, MT. ARARAT 32: Andrea Quirion scored a game-high 18 points to lead the Indians to a KVAC A win over the Eagles in Skowhegan.

Alanna Atkinson scored 13 points and Morgan Buker added 12 points for Skowhegan (6-2).

Sarah Lamb led Mt. Ararat (0-8) with eight points.

BOYS HOCKEY

WINSLOW 6, HOULTON/HODGDON 0: Jacob Boudreau, Jacob Grenier and Jimmy Fowler each scored a goal and an assist to lead the Black Raiders to the Eastern B victory at Sukee Arena.

Alex Berard, Jacob Trask and Dameron Rodrigue also scored for Winslow (3-2-0), which broke open a close game with a three-goal second period.

Andrew Beals had 10 saves to earn the shutout.

Houlton/Hodgdon dropped to 1-6-0.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

COLBY 75, UMAINE FARMINGTON 64: The Mules made 14 3-pointers to take a 75-64 win over the Beavers.

The Mules (5-7) shot 45.2 percent from 3-point range, making 14 of 31 shots.

Augusta native Mia Diplock led Colby with 17 points and six assists, while Carylanna Wolfington of Hallowell had 14 points and made four 3-pointers for the Mules. Waterville’s Jen Nale made three 3-pointers for nine points.

Elizabeth Ferry of Winslow led UMF with 16 points and six rebounds.

COLBY 92, UMAINE-MACHIAS 61: Patrick Stewart scored a game-high 20 points to lead the Mules to the non-conference win at Wadsworth Gymnasium.

Chris Hudnut added 16 points, seven rebounds and five assists for Colby (6-3). Sam Wilson scored 14 points for the Mules, who shot 52.3 percent from the field and made 17 of 18 free throws.

Elias Gutierrez led UMaine-Machias (7-5) with 19 points.

Also Saturday: Lawrence graduate Brooks Spaulding scored 16 points as the Husson men’s basketball team defeated Norwich Universitiy 65-45. …
