JACKMAN — Nathan Jalbert scored nine points in the fourth quarter as the Forest Hills boys basketball team beat rival Valley 51-43 in an East/West Conference game Thursday.

Jalbert finished with 17 points and 10 assists for the Tigers, who improve to 10-1. Ryan Petrin added 11 points for the defending Class D state champs.

Colin Miller had 14 points and Cody Laweryson added 13 for Valley (8-3).

MCI 53, ERSKINE 46: Mitchell Hallee and Gunner Lovely scored 11 points apiece to lead the Huskies to the KVAC B win in South China.

Tyler Bailey and Jared Gartley led Erskine (0-11) with 12 points apiece while teammate Trevor Browne scored 10. Maine Central Institute is 3-8.

LAWRENCE 77, BREWER 58: Brad King had 13 points as the Bulldogs beat the Witches in a KVAC A game Wednesday in Brewer.

Cole Robinson and Dustin Simpson-Bragg each added 11 points for Lawrence (7-5).

Logan Rogerson led all scorers with 20 points for Brewer (2-8).

COLLEGE MEN

VERMONT 83, MAINE 46: Ethan O’Day had 12 points as the Catamounts cruised to an America East win over the Black Bears in Orono.

Harold Hector and Kurt Steidl each added 10 points for Vermont (8-6, 3-0 in the conference).

Garet beal had nine points for Maine (3-13, 1-3).
