WINSLOW — The Living Way health ministry will hold its eighth annual Live Food Dinner from 5-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, at Winslow Public Library, 136 Halifax St. The potluck dinner celebrates the raw, vegan lifestyle of living foods.
Attendees are invited to bring a raw vegetable or fruit dish, i.e. a salad, entree, soup, snack, dessert or drink that will feed at least eight people. No cooked, processed, soy or animal-based foods are allowed.
Featured speakers will be Ben St. Peter of 113 Degrees, a raw catering service and Lauren Downie, director of Plates for Life/House of Fitness and Nutrition, in Waterville. The event is open to the public and free of charge, but a raw dish is required in order to participate.
