NORTH ANSON — Carrabec High School’s Kobe Cancel, a junior, recently qualified as a finalist in the Northern Regional Poetry Outloud Competition and will compete in the state finals at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, at the Waterville Opera House. Cancel is one of 20 students vying for the state title out of 8000 students in Maine who competed statewide.
