WATERVILLE — A Winslow woman escaped injury Friday morning after rolling her pickup truck on West River Road as a storm that began Thursday continued to pelt the area with fresh snow.

Brenda Gilbert, 53, of Winslow, was the only occupant in the truck and was not injured, according to Waterville firefighter Pablo Passalacqua, one of the first responders on scene.

Waterville police and fire department crews responded shortly after 9 a.m. to a report of a single-car accident involving a Chevy Silverado near Prime Financial on West River Road, about a mile south of Thomas College. When police arrived, the truck was leaning on the driver’s side with two wheels in the air in a snowbank in front of the financial services business.
