Police search for Vassalboro vandals

VASSALBORO — Police continue to search for those responsible for throwing paint at an Evans Road home last week.

Homeowners called police last Tuesday after someone threw three Mason jars full of paint at the home, according to a state police report. All three jars hit the house, causing what police described as significant damage. One of the jars went through a window.

The homeowner told police he has no enemies and was at a loss to identify anyone who might be responsible for the vandalism.

Police believe the offenders may have targeted the wrong house.

Augusta

Friday: At 3:53 p.m., there was a report of a vehicle overturned on the eastern rotary near the exit 113 ramp at Interstate 95 and Route 3. The driver, a 24-year-old man, was issued a number of violations after witnesses said he was driving his Audi too fast when he tried negotiate the rotary.

Saturday: Ryan Jones, 34, of Hallowell, was charged with operating under the influence and criminal speed during a traffic stop on Route 3. Jones was reportedly driving 86 mph in a 55 mph zone.

At 12:07 a.m., there was a report of a rollover crash in the southbound lane of Interstate 95 near exit 113.

Sunday: At 9:37 a.m., a disturbance was reported on Fourth Avenue.

10:24 a.m., theft was reported at Big Apple on Riverside Drive.

1:46 p.m., firefighters responded to an alarm on Water Street.

4:36 p.m., there was a traffic complaint on Bond Brook Road.

4:45 p.m., there was an accident on Bangor Street.

5:14 p.m., there was a report of a violation of a protection from abuse order on Glenridge Drive.

7:10 p.m., theft was reported at Walmart off Civic Center Drive.

7:25 p.m., a disturbance was reported on Sewall Street.

9:19 p.m., there was a traffic complaint on Western Avenue.
