AUBURN – Police say a Maine middle school student was killed in a three-car crash on New Hampshire’s Everett Turnpike on Friday night.

The Lewiston Sun Journal reported that 14-year-old Kobe Huynh of Auburn – a student at Auburn Middle School – was pronounced dead at the scene.

New Hampshire state police charged the boy’s father – 37-year-old Nghia Huynh – with felony aggravated drunken driving.

Police say the father lost control of the car in Merrimack and hit a concrete barrier. The car rolled into oncoming traffic and was struck by another vehicle, which was struck by a third car.

Auburn Middle School Principal James Hand says the teen “will be sorely missed.”

It could not be determined if the father was represented by a lawyer.
