Damon receives dean’s list honors

PORTLAND — Mariah Damon, daughter of Tony and Kathy Damon of West Gardiner, has been named to the fall 2013 semester dean’s list at the University of New England.

A 2013 graduate of Gardiner Area High School, Damon isa pre-pharmacy major. She is also actively involved at the university in the Pre-pharmacy Club and is a presidential scholar.

Mullen, of Wayne, named to dean’s list

PORTLAND — Eliza Mullen, daughter of Jeffrey and Robbin Mullen of Wayne, has been named to the dean’s list for the 2013 fall semester at the University of New England College of Pharmacy.

Mullen is also a member of the Student National Pharmaceutical Association, the American Pharmacists Association, the Student Health Advisory Committee, and the Class of 2016 Fundraising Committee.

Augusta student named to dean’s list

EASTON, Mass. — Jenna M. Fongemie, of Augusta, Maine, has been named to Stonehill College’s dean’s list for the fall 2013 semester.

Fongemie is a member of the class of 2016.

Spicer named to dean’s list

PORTLAND — Alivia Spicer, daughter of Scott and Jill Spicer of Vassalboro, has been named to the fall 2013 semester dean’s list at the University of New England.

A 2012 graduate of Erskine Academy, Spicer is a medical biology (pre-med) major. She is also actively involved at the university in the Neuroscience Club, Pre-med Club, Edge Club and outdoor recreation.

McCullum receives university honors

LEXINGTON, Va. — James McCullum of Hallowell, Maine, a member of the class of 2015 at Washington and Lee University, has earned honor roll status and dean’s list status for the recently ended winter 2013 term.

LaPorte named to president’s list

BANGOR — Jason LaPorte, son of Cheryl and Don LaPorte of Readfield, was recently named to the president’s list for the fall 2013 semester at Husson University in his second year of pre-pharmacy. He has been accepted into the Doctor of Pharmacy College at Husson University beginning fall of 2014.

LaPorte is a 2012 graduate of Maranacook Community High School. He holds a position on the Pre-Pharmacy Club and plays hockey for the university’s club team.

Student receives dean’s honors

PAUL SMITHS, N.Y. — Sierra Doucette of Randolph, Maine, has been named to the fall 2013 semester dean’s list at Paul Smith’s College.

Doucette majors in natural resources management and policy.

Local students named to dean’s list

BURLINGTON, Vt. — Two local students have been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2013 semester at the University of Vermont. They are Allyson Drummond of Augusta, Maine, a Zoology major in the College of Arts & Sciences, and Ryan Holm of Whitefield, Maine, a Chinese major in the College of Arts & Sciences.

Cottrell, of Winthrop, name to dean’s list

POTSDAM, N.Y. — Alex Cottrell of Winthrop, Maine, has been named to the Clarkson University dean’s list for the fall 2013 semester.

Cottrell is a senior majoring in global supply chain management.

Area residents earn second academic honors from Clark University

WORCESTER, Mass. — Two local residents were named to second honors on the Clark University dean’s list for the fall 2013 semester.

They are Amber A. Bissonette Leduc of Greene, Maine, and Kelcey D. Ladner of Richmond, Maine.

University of Rhode Island announces dean’s list

KINGSTON, R.I. — The University of Rhode Island has announced its fall 2013 dean’s list. Local students include Meghan Jellison of Augusta, Maine; Brett Glasheen of Belgrade, Maine; Elsie Morgan of Bowdoin, Maine; and Kayla Duquette of North Monmouth, Maine.

Constanzer named to dean’s list

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. — Jaime Constanzer of South China, Maine, has been named to the fall 2013 dean’s list at Delaware Valley College.

DES MOINES, Iowa — Ivy Gardner of Washington was named to the Drake University Dean’s List for the fall 2013 semester.

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. — Four local students have been named to the fall 2013 dean’s list at Merrimack College. They are Leyna Tobey of Augusta, Nicholas Flaherty of Litchfield, and Hannah Roberts and Abbey Stacey, both of Sidney.
