Saturday’s town meeting results.

Budget

Total budget of about $267,000 is down slightly from the $271,000 approved by voters in 2013. Tax rate remains at $17 per $1,000 in property valuation. Town Clerk Vernal Sinclair said the tax rate can’t be set until town officials know what will happen to state revenue sharing, the local school assessment and the county tax.

Approved

Voters agreed to move the annual Town Meeting from the Grange hall, where it had been held for many years, to the Corson Memorial School. That’s the town’s former elementary school building, which the school district returned to the town. Ripley residents voted last year to raise $5,100 to begin renovations. The money will help replace the building’s heating system.

Elections

Andrew Sebey, chairman of the Ripley Board of Selectmen, was re-elected unopposed on the Town Meeting ballot. He joins Michael Mower and Sandra Blaney to round out the three-member board.
