As small business owners, it’s easy to see how much we rely on our customers for our success.

Recently, however, we were reminded to include functional municipal services in our gratitude list. When we lost sewer service at our Hallowell office because of a frozen pipe under Winthrop Street, employees of the Greater Augusta Utility District and their contractors performed difficult work under less-than-ideal conditions and restored our service as quickly as possible. For that we are grateful.

So, all of us — clients, practitioners, patients and students — thank them for their service.
