WEST FORKS — Residents will consider raising $173,086 in taxes to fund the municipal budget Monday night at the Town Meeting. The amount is slightly less than the $175,542 raised for the current year.
The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the West Forks Town Office.
The following lien items will be considered: $14,917 for landfill payments, $12,000 for the fire department, $74,558 for the West Forks School Department, $6,400 for ambulance service, $6,840 for snow removal and road sanding, $7,000 for officer’s salaries and $6,000 for Town Office operations.
Elections for plantation assessors will be held during the meeting. There are no contested races.
