BANGOR — A Maine man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for conspiracy to import bath salts, launder money and being a felon in possession of firearms.
Court records say 29-year-old Ryan Orton of Hudson, who was sentenced Monday, illegally obtained the drugs from China over the Internet and had them delivered to people working with him. He paid for the shipments through wire transfers made by them.
Orton was arrested in April 2012 at his home. Investigators seized drugs, firearms and other weapons.
Orton was prohibited from possessing firearms because of prior felony drug convictions.
