AUGUSTA — Probation officer Adam Silberman has been promoted to correctional manager for Region 2 adults in the Maine Department of Corrections. Silberman is to start his new job Monday and be based in Augusta, according to a press release from the department.

“Adam has 18 years correctional experience in both field and facility,” said Susan Gagnon, the department’s regional correctional administrator, in a prepared statement. “He has been a probation officer in Lewiston for the past seven years, a field training officer, as well as a Maine Integrated Risk Reduction Model instructor. His leadership skills and attention to detail will serve him and the region well.”
