WATERVILLE — The City Council will hold a special meeting Tuesday to discuss proposed budgets with the Waterville Board of Education.

The meeting will be at 6 p.m. in the council chambers at The Center downtown.

It will be followed by a council meeting at 6:30 p.m. to consider approving an agreement with Springbrook Fuel to buy heating oil for the 2014-15 year at $3.1725 per gallon. The vote would come with the understanding that the city will pay for half of the estimated yearly amount — 12,000 gallons — in July, and pay the remainder as needed throughout the year, according to the agenda.

In other matters, councilors will review proposed budgets for assessing, city clerk, finance, information technology, debt service and administration.
