WATERVILLE — A man was arrested Friday evening after he hit another man in the head with a bottle and a woman with a rock on Silver street, police said.

Aaron M. Esposito, 31, of Silver Street, was arrested after police were called about an altercation on Silver Street, according to Waterville police Sgt. Daniel Goss.

Before police arrived, Esposito allegedly hit one man in the head with a bottle and threw a rock that hit a woman in the head, Goss said.

Esposito also assaulted a second man and when police tried to arrest Espostio, he fled to his apartment on Silver Street, and he was arrested there shortly afterward, Goss said.

Esposito was charged with two counts of aggravated assault and one count each of assault, refusing to submit to arrest, criminal mischief and obstructing the report of a crime.

Esposito has a May 13 court date at Kennebec County Superior Court.
