Readfield residents seeking to get their names on the ballot for town offices have until 4:30 p.m. Monday to return nominating petitions to the Town Office. According to Town Clerk Robin Lint, no one has returned petitions and no incumbents have taken out petitions to run for re-election as of Tuesday.

One three-year post, currently held by Lawrence Dunn, is up for election on the selectboard as are two three-year seats currently held by Jason Morgan and Marie Rodriguez on the board of Regional School Unit 38, the Maranacook school system. The Readfield advisory school board has a three-year seat and a one-year seat open. There are three seats on that local board.

To be listed on the ballot, candidates must return petitions containing signatures of 25 registered Readfield voters.

A candidates’ night is set for 6:30 p.m. May 22 at the Town Office.

Following the June 10 election, the business portion of the annual Town Meeting takes place on June 12.
