FARMINGTON — The Skowhegan Area High School softball team scored two runs on bases loaded walks in the first inning and made it stand in a 2-0 victory over Mt. Blue in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A game friday afternoon.

Kaitlyn Therriault struck out eight and allowed six hits .

Eliza Bedard and Taylor Johnson each had two singles for the Indians (7-3).

Lauren Guppy had two singles for the Cougars (4-6).

NOKOMIS 8, MORSE 2: Becky Orcutt and Courtney Carlson hit back-to-back homers in a four-run sixth to lead the Warriors to the KVAC Class B win in Bath. Orcutt added a double while teammate Drew Graves singled, doubled and tripled. Winning pitcher Libby Dunivan added two singles for Nokomis (10-0) while Hannah Faulkingham singled twice for Morse (3-7).

HALL-DALE 6, MT. ABRAM 2: The Bulldogs scored six runs in the fifth inning en route to the Mountain Valley Conference win in Farmingdale. Emily Mynard led the Bulldogs with a pair of base hits while teammate Kayla Johnson added a two-run single. Winning pitcher Becca Ackerson struck out seven for Hall-Dale (8-2). Kaite Jordan recorded six strikeouts in the loss and added an RBI triple. Mt. Abram is 2-8.

GARDINER 7, ERSKINE 1: Brittany Rollins struck out 13 and drove in a pair of runs to lead the Tigers to the KVAC B win in Gardiner. Bri Brochu and Lauren Chadwick each singled and doubled for Gardiner (10-0). Avery Boind singled and doubled for Erskine (2-8).

CARRABEC 10, LISBON 9: Baylee Atwood had a three-run triple and winning pitcher Jessica Vaillancourt had two singles and as many RBIs to lead the Cobras to the MVC win in North Anson.

Kylee Nile had two singles for Carrabec (5-4). Molly Nicholson had two hits for the Greyhounds (3-7).

Carrabec trailed 7-6 before it scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning.

WINSLOW 14, MT. VIEW 0, 5 innings: Hannah Doble threw a three-hit shutout with six strikeouts as the Black Raiders shut out the Mustangs in Winslow.

Jenna Petrovic singled three rimes for Winslow (8-2). Hayley POttle had two hits and drove in three runs, while Brooke Haskell scored threee runs.

Dinah Bilodeau doubled for Mt. View (2-7).

OXFORD HILLS 8, MESSALONSKEE 4: The Vikings scored seven unearned runs in the first two innings and held on for the KVAC A win in South Paris.

Anna Kahkonen and Shannon Fillebrown each singled twice for Oxford Hills (7-3).

Messalonskee (5-4) had 10 hits on the day. Kylee Knight, Taylor Easler and Kirsten Pelletier had two apiece.

WINSLOW 5, MT. VIEW 1: Jake Trask struck out nine and allowed just five hits to lead the Raiders to the KVAC B win in WInslow

Ryan Dubois had two singles for Winslow (7-3), which scored two runs in the fourth and another in the fifth to pull away.

Nathan Wren struck out eight and allowed just one walk to lead Mt. View (2-8).

MONMOUTH 12, MADISON 0, 5 innings: Brandon Goff had three hits to helpm the Mustangs impove to 8-1 with the MVC win in Monmouth.

Alex Curtis and D.J. McHugh each drove in two runs for Monmouth.

Cody Soucier doubled and Chase Malloy singled for Madison (2-8).

HALL-DALE 4, MT. ABRAM 3: Taylor Lockhart’s three-run homer in the bottom of the fifth inning propelled the Bulldogs to the MVC win in Farmingdale. The Roadrunners had taken a 3-1 lead in the top of the inning on a two-run homer from Arthur Ryan, who also singled. Quinn Stebbins singled twice for Hall-Dale (5-5) while winning pitcher Brian Allen allowed five hits and struck out 11. Mt. Abram is 3-7.

LISBON 12, CARRABEC 2:Winning pitcher Tyler Halls had a triple and Kyle Bourget added a pair of doubles to lead the Greyhounds in an MVC game in North Anson.

Bourget drove in three runs while Halls had an RBI as well for the Greyhounds (8-3).

Will Crawford doubled to lead the Cobras (8-2).
