STAFF REPORT

SALEM — Mt. Abram scored two runs in the bottom of the third, then hung on for a 3-2 win against Mountain Valley in Mountain Valley Conference baseball action Monday. Arthur Ryan picked up his first pitching win of the season with some help in relief in the seventh inning from Cal Dixon. Hunter York had a pair of base hits to lead the Roadrunners while teammate Sol Fast added a double. Tom Marshall paced Mountain Valley (2-9) with two singles. Mt. Abram is 4-7.

LISBON 10, HALL-DALE 2: Kyle Bourget pitched a complete game three-hitter to lead the Greyhounds to the MVC win in Lisbon. Joe Philbrick led the winners with a single and double while Riley Austin and R.J. Sargent each singled twice and Tyler Hall tripled. Lisbon is 9-2, Hall-Dale is 5-6.

BOYS LACROSSE

PORTLAND 13, OAK HILL 2: Mike Fuller and John Boyd poured in four goals each to lead the Bulldogs to the KVAC victory over the Raiders.

Kyle Flaherty scored both of Oak Hill’s goals, Matty Martin made 12 saves in net and Kyle Ridley and Steven Gilbert recovered four groundballs apiece. Portland improves to 3-4 with the win, while the Raiders fall to to 3-5.

SOFTBALL

MTN. VALLEY 19, Mt. ABRAM 4: Shannon Laubouskas doubled and homered to lead the Falcons to the MVC win in Salem. Jacey Davenport had a pair of hits for Mt. Abram (2-9). Mountain Valley is 8-3.
