The American Lung Association has launched Lung Force, which will increase funding to lung cancer research and raise awareness of women and lung cancer and lung health. Free ME from Lung Cancer is absolutely thrilled with the lung association’s efforts to bring more attention to this deadly disease and the stigma long associated with it.
Lung cancer is the leading cause of death from cancer. In fact, every five minutes a women is diagnosed with lung cancer. More women lose their battle to lung cancer than breast, colon, uterine and ovarian cancers combined. Despite being the No. 1 cause of death from cancer, lung cancer remains woefully underfunded.
