BELGRADE LAKES — The schedule of events for Fourth of July activities set for Friday, July 4, 2014, in Belgrade Lakes has been announced.

Activities include:

• Free candle raffle, painting demonstration, free cookies and strawberry lemonade, 8 a.m.-4 p.m., 1830 House, 134 Main St.

• Book sale and fresh baked pies, 9 a.m.-2 p.m., The Village; 495-2101. Sponsored by The Friends of the Belgrade Public Library

• Antique Boat display along the Mill Stream,10 a.m.-2 p.m.; 778-1706.

• Farmers market, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., The Maine Lakes Resource Center.

• Art and conservation display, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., The Maine Lakes Resource Center.

• Bounce house, face painting and refreshments, 11 a.m.-6 p.m., The Village Peddler, Lake Shore Drive, where a golf ball chipping contest will be held from noon-3 p.m.

• Lunch and live music, noon, The Village Inn. All proceeds benefit the Belgrade Food Pantry.

• Free ice cream social, 1:30-2:30 p.m., The Belgrade Lakes Center for All Seasons; 495-3481. Sponsored by Gifford’s Ice Cream.

• There will be a frog jumping contest at 5 p.m. at Main Street and Hulin Road. Participants should bring their own frog.

• There will be a boat parade at noon. Lineup will start at 11:30 a.m. at the mouth of Mill Stream; for more information, call 242-8119. A parade will begin at 4 p.m. Lineup for all vehicles and floats will start at 3 p.m. at Rome Farms, Route 27. Lineup for bikes and marchers will start at 3:30 p.m. south of Rome Farms. All are welcome to make a float, decorate a bike, wear a costume or drive an old car. Children who participate will receive a gift certificate for a free ice cream come.

• Music by the lakeside behind Day’s Store, 6:30-8:30 p.m.

• Fireworks on Long Pond, 9:15 p.m. Rain date will be July 5.
