My last letter was about spending a million dollars on Stone Street in Augusta, but I’m not sure if a million is enough for four lanes on Stone Street or not.

The only road work experience I have was as a “flagger” for three different companies. I know that road work in Maine is seasonal and expensive.

Eastern Avenue, Bangor Street, State Street and Mount Vernon Avenue haven’t looked this good in years. I’m sure I’m not the only one who appreciates a job well done.

It’s much better for everyone’s vehicle and for our tourists. It makes them not think about driving on roads and streets as bumpy as a railroad track.

All this work done by only the end of June. I hope they keep up the good work.
