I wasn’t sure how I felt about the new ordinance that requires us to paying for trash bags.

I started to pay attention to my household trash last week. With a garbage disposal, nearly all of my trash is recyclable. I love that we no longer have to separate the recyclables. My granddaughter in Portland has had that method for years. It is so much easier than the days of separating everything.

I urge others to observe all of their refuse for a week. I think they’ll be pleasantly surprised. I really can’t think of much to use the paid bags for.
